Micro Rainbow

Micro Rainbow's vision is to create a world where (LGBTQI) people are free from discrimination, persecution and have equal opportunities in life. The services that they offer include:

Aponghor Bengali LGBTQ+ at Poplar Union

Aponghor is an LGBTQ+ group for the Bangladeshi community living and loving in the UK which runs at Poplar Union.

Running on the first Monday of every month, Aponghor meet-ups are a life-line to the Bengali LGBTQIA+ community, providing advice on everything from housing to sexual health, asylum seeking, family support and social events.

Step Forward

Free & Confidential services for all young people aged 11-25 years living in and around Tower Hamlets. They provide a safe and welcoming space for young people to talk and get the support they need, when they need it. Services include:

  •   1-2-1 support (counselling and personal development)
  • LGBTQ+ Youth group (Step Out)
  • Sexual health
  • Mindfulness
  • Art therapy

HIV testing and PrEP

Testing at least once a year for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is good sexual health practice for everyone who is sexually active,
even if you know you haven’t put yourself at risk of infection.

Ask us for an HIV test as part of your check up.

Our local sexual health clinic can assess you to see if you are eligible for PrEP.

Unfortunately, the online registration questions are not as inclusive as we would like.  We invite you to let us know if there is information that you would like to add to your record such as your gender marker, sexual orientation or preferred pronouns. You can do this when you speak to us or  alternatively please complete an online consultation outlining the changes you would like to make.
